Position Overview:
InSequence is seeking a highly motivated and experiencedBusiness Process Consultantsupporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program with a strong focus on workflow and process design to enhance and optimize a new software asset management (SAM) solution leveraging the ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for defining, designing, enhancing, and implementing efficient and scalable workflows and processes within the software asset management solution to manage software assets effectively.

The Business Process Consultant will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, translate business needs into actionable technical requirements, contribute to the achievement of defined value objectives, and cultivate strong client relationships to address critical business challenges via process, procedure, and tools. This is a unique opportunity to shape the enterprise SAM solution, creating streamlined workflows and establishing best-practice processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Workflow and Process Design (Primary Focus): Lead the design and documentation of comprehensive, end-to-end workflows and processes for software asset management within the ServiceNow platform, encompassing all stages of the software lifecycle (request, procurement, deployment, maintenance, retirement).
• Requirements Gathering (Process-Centric): Elicit detailed requirements from stakeholders across the organization, with a particular emphasis on understanding their process needs and pain points related to software asset management.
• ServiceNow Module Configuration (Workflow-Driven): Identify configurations to ServiceNow SAM modules that align with the designed workflows, ensuring seamless integration and automation of key processes.
• Process Definition and Documentation (New Solution): Define and document new SAM processes and workflows, establishing standard operating procedures for software asset management and creating clear process flow diagrams.
• Process Optimization and Automation: Identify opportunities to optimize and automate SAM processes within ServiceNow, leveraging scripting, integrations, and other platform capabilities.
• Training and Support (Workflow Focused): Support the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs to software asset managers, with a strong emphasis on understanding and adhering to the defined workflows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration (Process Alignment): Collaborate effectively with IT and various business units to ensure successful implementation and adoption of the enterprise software asset management solution and alignment of SAM processes with other relevant business processes.
• Documentation and Issue Resolution: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of all SAM processes and workflows, proactively monitor project progress, and support resolution of issues that may arise during implementation.
• Technical Requirements Translation (Workflow-Informed): Translate high-level business needs into detailed technical requirements for ServiceNow SAM development and configuration, ensuring that technical solutions support the defined workflows.
• Value Objective Development (Process-Based): Develop clearly defined customer value objectives and comprehensive plans to achieve them, ensuring that the new ServiceNow SAM solution delivers tangible business benefits through streamlined and efficient processes.
• Client Relationship Management (Process Understanding): Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and demonstrating a deep understanding of their SAM processes.
• ServiceNow Advisory (Workflow Expertise): Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on how to effectively leverage ServiceNow to optimize their software asset management practices, with a particular focus on workflow design and implementation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in business process design and implementation.
• Demonstrated experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience of software asset management.
• Solid understanding of ITSM principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and user story development.
• Ability to effectively work with data from diverse systems and data sources.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to influence decision-making and drive consensus.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Salary Range:

• The final salary can be influenced by a variety of factors, such as Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, educational background, and certifications.
