Job description Job Title: Shadow Teacher/Special Educator Location: Lycée French International School – Sholinganallur Chennai About Us A dedicated group of teachers and parents in Chennai has initiated a French bilingual school, providing quality international education accessible to French, Indian and International families alike. Our goal is to be part of the AEFE (The Agency for French Education Abroad Network). The initiative is a collaborative effort involving the French community in Chennai, the French Institute in India, the cultural branch of the Embassy of France in India, and the the Consulate General of France in Pondicherry and Chennai. Role Overview We are inviting graduates from any discipline with a Special Education trained teacher, If you are compassionate, patient, and excited to learn, this role offers the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience while being trained in internationally recognized methods and inclusive education practices. Key Responsibilities Support the Special children in addressing diverse learning needs. Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in line with International principles. Provide one-on-one and group support during classroom activities. Observe and document student progress and milestones. Encourage practical life skills, independence, and self-confidence in children. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists for holistic child development. Actively participate in International and special education training programs. Who Can Apply? Graduates from any academic background with a strong Special Education experience of handling Special children. Trained and certified teaching experience required. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and a passion for working with children. Willingness to grow into a professional Special Educator.
