Job Description:
OVERVIEW
The SharePoint Developer applies current graphics design and .NET technologies to develop, modify, and maintain SharePoint server portals in support of the Defense Technical Information Center.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expertise, advice, assistance, maintenance, and program development for OSD’s and DTIC’s SharePoint- based intranet site, external-facing website, and other OSD and DTIC SharePoint-based tools and data. This includes preparing OSD’s/PSA’s, and DTIC’s SharePoint sites/data/tools for migration to a new SharePoint environment.
- Development of new data management, collection, and reporting capabilities (e.g., web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, master pages, and search navigation) to meet new requirements and improve existing processes.
- Develop and manage weekly, monthly, bi-annual, annual, and ad-hoc BO reports. Provide timely reporting products as required by Directorate staff, DoD leadership, and legislative branch requests for information. Implement and improve automation of recurrent reporting products.
- Develop, publish, and update DTIC reporting products (e.g., SharePoint, MS Power BI, etc.) for internal and external process management, quality control, data presentation, and external customer service.
- Solicit suggestions from DTIC staff and customers on how to improve OSD and DTIC data collection, analysis and workflows; work with Directorate leadership to determine how/whether to implement identified suggestions.
- Liaise with DoD network and SharePoint administrators to troubleshoot and resolve network-and SharePoint migration- related SharePoint issues. Monitor Joint Service Provider (or equivalent) helpdesk tickets for OSD and DTIC SharePoint issues.
- Troubleshoot and perform quality assurance for OSD and DTIC SharePoint data, reporting products, and workflow management; develop plan to resolve / implement workaround solutions for identified issues in a timely manner.
- Manage the regular, recurrent transfer of relevant OSD and DTIC data (e.g., APM, etc.) into the Pulse/Avana/Qlik AI and visualization environments.
- Meet bi-weekly or as needed with Directorate leaders to discuss status of on-going actions, progress, funding, and any significant task issues. The agenda will be provided in advance by the Contractor.
- Provide project management and tracking of up to 50 individual actions at any given time with the capability to provide a status report within 4 hours of request.
- Provide training and training products for OSD and DTIC as needed and as new capabilities are developed.
- Draft and update OSD and DTIC SharePoint site standard operating procedures, desktop guidance, and turnkey documentation
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- DoD Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Three (3) years of developing web front-end SharePoint applications using Info Path
- Three (3) years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Three (3) years of experience designing and developing custom workflows and forms
- Excellent communications skills
