Shed Delivery Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Shed Delivery Driver to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting sheds and garages to customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Duties

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and trailers, dump trucks and shed mules, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws.
• Load, secure, and unload sheds and building materials using manual handling techniques.
• Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices, ensuring on-time arrivals at customer locations.
• Assist with daily operations by moving buildings within the facility, using manual handling practices and equipment like fork lifts.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain accurate delivery logs, and complete all necessary documentation for each trip.

Skills

• Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license and DOT medical card.
• Must be very experienced with driving and backing up a trailer. Oversized load experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of driving regulations, including adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and traffic laws.
• Experience in delivery driving, including route planning, load & unload procedures, and heavy lifting techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively during deliveries.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including moving heavy or bulky items using proper techniques.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
