Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fitter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with sheet metal. Duties

• Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Use TIG welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure precise cuts and fittings
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to maintain optimal working conditions
• Assist in the assembly of metal structures, ensuring adherence to quality standards
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide fabrication processes
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding, sheet metal welding, or similar fabrication work
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment
• Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
• Experience with assembly of metal components is desirable
• Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining safety standards
• Previous experience working with various welding techniques is preferred
