Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and staging sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality metal products used across various industries. Duties

  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components.
  • Operate a variety of machinery including CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining equipment to shape and form sheet metal parts.
  • Program CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages to ensure precise cuts and dimensions.
  • Use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to perform quality inspections and verify dimensions meet specifications.
  • Fabricate sheet metal parts through welding, assembly, and mechanical fastening techniques while adhering to safety standards.
  • Utilize cranes and forklifts for material handling and component movement within the workspace.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar manufacturing role involving sheet metal fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical principles related to metal fabrication.
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC equipment such as laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and press brake machines.
  • Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG or arc welding for assembly tasks.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection procedures using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, cranes, forklifts, and tooling in a manufacturing environment. Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
