Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Welder Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Perform TIG welding on various sheet metal components, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards
- Fabricate sheet metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately produce components
- Assemble fabricated parts into finished products or subassemblies
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication or welding issues
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations
- Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding and sheet metal welding processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques involving sheet metal materials
- Mechanical knowledge coupled with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Experience with assembly processes is desirable
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Contract length: 6-26 weeks
Pay: £24.00-£28.50 per hour
