Sheet Metal Welder Fabricator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Welder Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Duties

• Perform TIG welding on various sheet metal components, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards
• Fabricate sheet metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately produce components
• Assemble fabricated parts into finished products or subassemblies
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication or welding issues
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during operations
• Inspect finished work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements

Qualifications

• Proven experience in TIG welding and sheet metal welding processes
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
• Strong understanding of fabrication techniques involving sheet metal materials
• Mechanical knowledge coupled with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
• Experience with assembly processes is desirable
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 6-26 weeks

Pay: £24.00-£28.50 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
