What does a Shift Lead do?

At CC's Coffee House, our Shift Leads are the heart and soul of our establishment. From whipping up delicious drinks, to offering warm pastries, they ensure every Guest is greeted with a smile and exceptional service. Keeping the location spotless and inviting, our Shift Leads take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. With a knack for precision, they handle transactions with ease, making sure each payment is accurately recorded in our point-of-sale systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Be Real Greets every guest in a friendly, sincere, and enthusiastic manner upon entering and leaving the café, following CC’s steps of service.
• Be Passionate Works to exceed guest expectations during every visit to the café.
• Be Exceptional Safely operates all café equipment to prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food.
• Communicates openly and respectfully with guests and team members, maintaining a positive and supportive attitude.
• Resolves guest concerns in a genuine, courteous manner, seeking management support when needed.
• Accurately processes purchases, refunds, coupons, discounts, and payments while following all cash-handling procedures.
• Follows all workplace safety practices, including proper lifting, ladder use, and handling of hot or sharp equipment.
• Counts register till before and after each shift with honesty and accountability.
• Educates guests about coffee varieties, beverages, pastries, and merchandise to share the CC’s experience.
• Provides attentive tableside service and creates a welcoming environment.
• Maintains a positive attitude and strong teamwork while supporting daily operations.
• Provides thoughtful recommendations, suggests products, and upsells to enhance the guest experience.
• Follows recipes, food safety procedures, and operational standards at all times.
• Maintains clean, organized, and hazard-free workspaces, including production areas, storage, restrooms, patios, and parking areas.
• Properly stocks service stations and ensure all preparation areas are ready for service.
• Monitors equipment temperatures and ensures proper functioning of refrigerators, freezers, and heating units.
• Disposes of garbage and keeps all guest and team areas clean and presentable.
• Uses POS systems, credit card equipment, and drive-thru headsets accurately and efficiently.
