JOB DESCRIPTION
A Chronic Tacos Shift Lead is the pinnacle brand ambassador of the "Taco Life". You will be responsible for fanatical customer service by yourself and your team. You must meet sales and profitability goals along my motivating, communicating and managing the restaurant and its Team Members effectively. The store Shift Lead is responsible for creating and building loyal and frequent customers by providing a spotless restaurant, overseeing the production and presentation of exceptional meals and by marketing efforts. The store Shift Lead oversees and coordinates the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve our objectives and standards related to customer satisfaction, food quality, profitability, costs, employee retention, cleanliness and sanitation. REQUIREMENTS
- Uncompromising commitment to fanatical customer service. Think Disneyland.
- 3 -5 years prior experience fulfilling a leadership role in a restaurant.
- Our shift leaders help lead our remote catering events, on our taco truck, or in our pop-up tent. Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Strong communicator, completely comfortable providing both positive and constructive feedback
- Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- The ability and willingness to work "elbow to elbow" with team members.
- Must possess a thorough understanding of operational efficiencies and how to maximize the effectiveness of team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage food costs, inventory control, and precision with cash.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to drive to local restaurant supply store for inventory.
- Ability and willingness to deliver catering orders and/or attend popup or truck events.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
RESPONSIBILITES
- To proactively ensure the store runs effectively when the manager is not present.
- To proactively ensure the store complies with outlined safety policies and procedures, as well as state and local health regulations.
- To proactively monitor and lead team members including breaks, store inventory, customers, and daily operations.
- To proactively ensure upselling is happening on a regular basis both by the lead and employees on shift.
- Proactively ensures all food and supplies are stocked, equipment is functional and in good working order. Immediately notifies management if not.
- To train employees and ensure Chronic Tacos “Steps of Service”, store lists, and critical limits are completed.
- To proactively ensure all recipes are properly followed and prepared based on sales
- To occasionally run errands on behalf of the store for caterings, supplies, etc.
- To handle customer escalations and grievances
- To proactively self-manage catering orders and participate in off-site popup and catering events
- Ensures team members are motivated and completing their daily lists and tasks and help manage labor by sending people home as necessary.
- Place orders and monitor food inventory.
- Assist manager in conducting regular performance evaluations and providing initial feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Assist in other store tasks and operations as defined by management.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.05 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
