Shift lead/Bartender - Mister Oso Rino

We’re seeking someone with strong bartending knowledge who’s ready to grow into management while still actively working behind the bar. PURPOSE

The Shift Lead assists in overseeing and managing restaurant operations while maintaining the highest standards of guest experience and supporting an efficient and profitable business performance during their assigned management shift. Shift Leads provide direction and oversight of restaurant staff under the supervision of salaried management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist GM and/or AGM in training restaurant staff including new hires.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings.
  • Assist staff in completion of daily tasks.
  • Provide coaching and direction to employees while escalating performance concerns to the GM and/or AGM.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience.
  • Help resolve minor guest issues in a professional and courteous manner while escalating serious guest complaints to the GM and/or AGM.
  • Support labor efficiency by assisting with floor assignments and labor management with approval from the GM and/or AGM.
  • Oversee shift transitions to ensure smooth team handoffs.
  • Set up the bar bank and collect employee checkouts.
  • Securely drop collected checkouts into the designated safe slot.
  • Support daily sales reporting under the supervision of the GM and/or AGM.
  • Assist with TOAST management functions only when clocked in as a manager.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
  • Support GM and/or AGM with social media efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Ability to take direction and make decisions with the best interests of the business in mind.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent time management, organization, and delegation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and restaurant guidelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
  • In lieu of degree, combination of education and years of experience will be considered.
  • 1+ year of full-service restaurant leadership experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
