SHIFT LEADER (BASE FOREMAN)

Job position: SHIFT LEADER (BASE FOREMAN)

Reports to: Yard Manager

Purpose:

For supervision of overall yard operations, including drivers, operators, forklifts, cranes, trucks, and other operational aspects. Shall have solid experience on people supervision, forklift and crane operations, as well as with steel pipes handling.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate activities between operative teams according to daily plan.
• Perform helper tasks when required.
• Can operate 16-ton forklifts.
• Manage yard physical inventory and consumables.
• Survey incoming shipments, report damages, and file claims.
• Monitor deliveries and maintain transportation logs.
• Verify trucks for loading/unloading.
• Assuring presence of personnel, tools and equipment necessary for the operation.
• Being present at all Stock Takes & Customer visits to the yard.
• Responsible for HSE of crew operations
• Responsible for delivering safety training and commitments to all yard visitors.
• Responsible for delivering daily toolbox talks to crew members.

Competencies:

• Extensive experience in yard coordination, lifting, logistics, and team management;
• MS Office;
• fluent English;
• certified in lifting equipment.
