Job Title: Shift Manager and Assistant Managers
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary:
The Shift Lead/Asst. Manager at Marco's Pizza is a key member of the team, responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations during assigned shifts. You will lead by example, providing excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and motivating team members to achieve operational goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to upholding Marco's Pizza's brand standards.
Responsibilities:
- Shift Management:
- Oversee daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company procedures.
- Open and close the store according to established protocols.
- Manage and assign tasks to team members, ensuring timely completion.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, reporting shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash management, including register operations and end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all orders are prepared accurately and delivered on time.
- Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
- Promote a positive and friendly atmosphere.
- Team Leadership:
- Train and mentor team members on operational procedures and customer service standards.
- Motivate and encourage team members to achieve performance goals.
- Provide constructive feedback and address performance issues as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Resolve conflicts among team members.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all food products meet Marco's Pizza's quality standards.
- Monitor food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures.
- Administrative Duties:
- Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering.
- Assist the manager in scheduling.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to obtain any required food handler certifications.
