Shift Leader/Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Shift Leader to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations during their shift, providing exceptional customer service, and leading the team to deliver high-quality food and beverage experiences. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to manage various tasks efficiently.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Assist in managing staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate banquet services and special events as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure adequate stock.
• Implement budgeting practices to control costs effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including kitchen and dining spaces.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Experience in restaurant management or food management is preferred.
• Knowledge of budgeting practices within a food service context.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and bartending is a plus.
• Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
