Shift Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Train, develop, and manage team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance performance.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately, utilizing Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning to achieve operational goals.
  • Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
  • Collaborate with upper management on strategic initiatives for improving service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in food service management, including food handling, production, and safety practices.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  • Familiarity with kitchen management practices and culinary techniques is preferred.
  • Experience with training & development of staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Knowledge of budgeting processes within the food industry is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
