Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Train, develop, and manage team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance performance.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately, utilizing Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning to achieve operational goals.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new staff members.
- Collaborate with upper management on strategic initiatives for improving service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus.
- Strong background in food service management, including food handling, production, and safety practices.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective team management skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Familiarity with kitchen management practices and culinary techniques is preferred.
- Experience with training & development of staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes within the food industry is advantageous.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
