Good Graces is Raleigh’s newest eatery, bar, and market located in the heart of the newly developed North Hills Innovation District. Casually sophisticated and thoughtfully designed, Good Graces will be a multi-functional destination for our community to eat, drink, gather, and shop.
We are seeking an individual who is positive, self-motivated, and has a passion for quality food, beverage, and service. This candidate must be able to foster teamwork and the ability to skillfully navigate a variety of personalities. We are looking to hire someone who holds themselves to a high standard of excellence and finds fulfillment and motivation in people management and the customer experience.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that all FOH operations are running smoothly, all customers have an enjoyable dining experience and all management tasks and checklists are carried out on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Overseeing restaurant staff performance, ensuring a quality dining experience for all.
- Coordinating communication between front of the house and back of the house staff.
- Addressing and resolving customer complaints quickly and professionally.
- Overseeing food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
- Checking in on dining customers to enquire about food quality and service.
- Monitoring inventory and ensuring that all supplies needed are available.
- Maintaining a clean dining area and overseeing general restaurant cleanliness
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines.
- Implementing and enforcing restaurant policies and procedures.
- Greeting guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables.
- Maintaining an organized waiting list during busy periods.
- Providing menus to guests.
- Handling guest inquiries.
- Utilizing Toast, Resy and DoorDash to help fulfill to go orders and manage both reservations and waitlists.
- Upholding high standards of hospitality and guest services throughout the dining experience.
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of previous hospitality management experience required.
- Previous experience managing a team of 20+ individuals.
- Previous restaurant serving experience a plus.
- Previous Host experience in a high volume restaurant is required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Resy and DoorDash a plus.
- Previous bartending experience a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
