Shift Supervisor

Summary:

The shift supervisor is responsible for complete over site of the ore haul pertaining to their relative shift. This includes but is not limited to managing safety compliance, meeting production needs, employee supervision, equipment oversight, incident investigation, traffic control, route clean up, and daily reporting.

Safety Compliance:

Production:

· All tonnage goals being met.

For example: In there was an emergency and it blocked traffic on main roadways that prevented us from meeting our tonnage goals.

Also, making sure all drivers are meeting policies and procedures according to Capurro & Mine standards to meet the tonnage goals.

Making sure compliance is met throughout the fleet according to Capurro and Mine standards.

· Report daily on individual driver load counts to include routing, pick-up, and delivery pads.

· Hold drivers accountable for expected daily loads. As of 10/19/21 the expectation for daily tons is 1960 or roughly 980 per shift.

· Daily review of BOL's and timecards.

Employee Supervision:

· Holding employees accountable for start times and attendance.

· Addressing issues and concerns.

· Disciplinary measures for ore haul drivers as needed.

· Tracking attendance, early outs, late starts, and production daily.

· Random ride along / driver audit 1 per week documented.

· Quarterly performance reviews.

Equipment:

· Daily truck audits.

· Proper notification of damage or repairs needed report to the shop.

· Follow-up to make sure repairs are done in a timely manner.

· Oversite of fleet cleanliness.

Incident / Accident(s): Whichever falls under safety.

· Incident flow chart (incident form, notification to appropriate personnel, witness statements, shop statements if applicable, investigation follow through).

· Samsara video pulling, review, investigation, and reporting.

· Follow through communications.

Traffic Control:

· Assist with all ore haul traffic control needs for the ore haul route.

· Prioritize the safety of people above all else.

Route Clean Up:

· Tire and road debris cleanup along the route daily.

Communication:

· Daily phone or person to person communication with every driver (documented)

· Communicate w/ cross shift supervisor.

o Maintain audit list

o Issues with drivers (sick, late, slip seat problems, equip etc.)

· Communicate with shop

o Truck availability

o PM's scheduling

o Shift dispatch (secondary to Dispatch Supervisor)

Reporting:

· Daily

o Road reports

o Shift synopsis

§ Safety issues

§ Load report per driver

§ Load report total

§ Routing, total # loads, tonnage, p/u and delivery pads

§ Explanations for any dropped loads or required loads not met

§ Short report of communication listed for every driver

Schedule:

- The shift will be a 12 hour shift.

- Monthly Rotational schedule.

- Day Shift Position 1am-1pm
