Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our production team on 2nd shift Monday through Thursday 2:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and experienced in material handling, shipping, and receiving within a manufacturing or packaging environment.


Key Responsibilities

Shipping Duties:

  • Review job tickets and prepare shipments, creating packing slips in Label Traxx with all required details.
  • Wrap skids for outgoing shipments per customer specifications.
  • Coordinate pick-ups with transport companies, ensuring all documentation is signed and attached.
  • Verify outgoing shipments against paperwork for accuracy.
  • Close open job tickets for invoicing.
  • Prepare bills of lading and customs documents as needed.
  • Package finished products in boxes, label accordingly, and ensure readiness for dispatch.

Receiving Duties:

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from transport vehicles.
  • Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Enter incoming shipments into Label Traxx and notify Purchasing of any discrepancies.
  • Store materials in pre-assigned rack locations and distribute them to production as required.
  • Remove and submit Safety Data Sheets (SDS) from incoming materials to the Production Manager/Regulatory Affairs.
  • Handle customer returns by placing items in quarantine and notifying Quality Assurance.

Material Handling Duties:

  • Use forklifts, roll clamps, and walkies to move pallets and materials safely.
  • Record inventory locations and maintain accurate stock information in Label Traxx.
  • Pull, verify, and return materials for production orders.
  • Organize cores and materials by size and maintain a clean, orderly storage area.
  • Follow all Health and Safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.

Education & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a shipping/receiving or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift and/or roll clamp certification required (or willingness to obtain).
  • Order picking experience (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Familiarity with Label Traxx or similar ERP/inventory systems an asset.
  • Computer proficiency (basic data entry and documentation).
  • Knowledge of skid wrapping and warehouse organization best practices.
