Shipping Agent Officer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Agent to join our maritime operations team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will serve as the vital link between vessels, port authorities, and terminal operators, ensuring seamless entry, stay, and departure for all ships in entering Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

Vessel Clearance & Documentation: Manage all entry and exit formalities, including obtaining clearances from the UAE Coast Guard, Dubai Customs and Immigration, PCFC and Dubai Porst Authorities.

Applying for and revalidating Marine NOCs for vessel activities and specialized ship services.

Securing permits for ship repairs, diving activities, and hazardous cargo handling.

Managing EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) compliance documentation.

Crew Coordination: Facilitate crew changes, including visa processing via the portal, transportation, and medical assistance, while ensuring the Master’s requirements are met promptly.

Terminal Liaison: Coordinate closely with DP World or other terminal teams to manage berthing schedules, cargo operations, and deck/engine store deliveries via the Dubai Trade system.

Requirements & Technical Skills

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Shipping or Port Agent specifically within Dubai ports (Jebel Ali, Port Rashid, or DMC).

System Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of different Governmental portal and Dubai Trade (PCS) is mandatory.

Possession of a Trakhees Accreditation Card for Shipping Agents or completion of the PCFC Port Regulations course is highly preferred.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written English; ability to communicate effectively with diverse ship crews and government officials.

Logistics: Valid UAE Driving preferred.

Resilience: Ability to work flexible hours and handle emergency NOC requests, as shipping operations are 24/7.
