Job Summary

Forge Truck Centers is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Analyst to manage the inbound and outbound transportation of commercial truck inventory across our dealership network. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, ensuring transportation compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers to support timely and cost-effective delivery of vehicles and parts.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication with internal teams, vendors, carriers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound transportation for inventory between dealerships, vendors, and customers
• Source and maintain relationships with reliable transportation carriers and partners
• Coordinate transportation rates and service agreements to support cost-effective logistics operations
• Schedule shipments, track loads, and proactively resolve delays, damages, or service issues
• Ensure all shipments comply with DOT, FMCSA, and other applicable transportation regulations
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipment documentation, including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
• Communicate shipment status updates to internal teams, vendors, and customers as needed
• Monitor transportation performance metrics and recommend process improvements
• Support inventory planning and dealership operations through efficient shipment coordination

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, shipping operations, or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of transportation coordination and carrier management
• Experience coordinating vehicle or heavy-equipment shipments preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data tracking, reporting, and analysis
• Proficiency with RMIS and TMS platforms
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management systems
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
