Position Summary

Jake's Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Receiving Clerk to join our growing team. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and distributing incoming materials, supplies, and equipment while ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting production operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work effectively with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Warehouse personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, and documentation against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Accurately enter receiving information into the company's ERP/inventory management system.
  • Label, organize, and distribute received materials to appropriate departments or storage locations.
  • Maintain accurate receiving records and filing systems.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing regarding shortages, damaged materials, incorrect shipments, or vendor discrepancies.
  • Assist Quality personnel with inspection requirements when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling and documentation.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Keep receiving, warehouse, and storage areas clean, organized, and audit-ready.
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support other warehouse and logistics functions as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous receiving, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems preferred.
  • Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and data entry.
  • Forklift experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
