Shipping Department- Driver

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, safety‐minded Driver to support our transportation and logistics operations. This role is critical to ensuring our customers receive their fabricated products on time and in excellent condition, aligning with Profab commitment to quality, reliability, proactive communication, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport fabricated parts and materials to customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries that support our promise of on‐time service.
• Load and unload materials with proper care to maintain product quality.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, cleanliness, and basic maintenance tasks, ensuring the vehicle remains safe and reliable.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to changes when needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel usage, and service records.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers, reflecting Profab’s emphasis on professional and proactive communication.
• Report vehicle concerns, delays, safety issues, or delivery discrepancies promptly.
• Represent Profab with professionalism, courtesy, and respect in all interactions.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid driver’s license with a strong safety record.
• Chauffeur’s License required.
• Proven driving experience (commercial or delivery driving preferred).
• Experience in the manufacturing industry, with an understanding of production environments and material handling.
• Ability to lift, move, and secure manufactured metal parts and components.
• Strong time‐management skills.
• Clear, professional communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience driving for a fabricating or manufacturing company.
• Familiarity with routing software, GPS tools, and delivery documentation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle maintenance checks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
