Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Backup Driver - 3rd Shift

Position Summary

This position primarily supports Shipping & Receiving operations and also serves as a backup driver as business needs require.

SHIPPING/RECIEVING CLERK SUMMARY

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Correctly records incoming and outgoing shipments in WMS and/or Orchestrated Beer.
Receives finished goods off of palletizer and records completed quantities via WMS handheld scanner.
Identifies discrepancies on finished goods production orders and confirms said information with packaging lead(s).
Provides packaging department with needed materials (MT glass/cans + pallets in palletizer etc).
Maintains method of inventory rotation (first IN/first OUT).
Identifies product with labeling information.
Identifies loads with shipping information.
Posts weights and shipment product detail to Packing Slips and Truck load Maps. Compares both to Order Confirmation and Bills of Lading.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Routes items to appropriate departments.
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
Build and ships orders using WMS handheld and/or obeer.
Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
Operates tier lift truck or uses handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
Ensures facility and product security.
Complies with all safe operating instructions.

WAREHOUSE DRIVER SUMMARY

Drives tractor/trailer combination to transport and deliver products and materials between the main brewery and offsite warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Drives truck to destination. Complies with all safe operating instructions.
Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and fills out report indicating truck condition
Reports anything that does not pass inspection or is a safety hazard to shift lead, management, and maintenance.
Maintains driver log according to regulations
Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move, unload, load, stack or unstack materials or product. Complies with all safe operating instructions.
Assists in loading and unloading trailers
Uses WMS handheld and/or Obeer to transfer beer and other materials to/from the brewery.
Monitors SAP and WMS systems for inventory transfer requests
Ensures all departments have necessary materials that have been requested from warehouse to brewery or brewery to warehouse. Communicates with other departments regarding material requests if necessary.
Maintains method of inventory rotation (first IN/first OUT).
Cleans/sweeps tractor cab interior and trailer floor as needed
Performs cleaning duties in relation to Good Brewery Practices (GBP) and the warehouse Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
Will periodically be asked to backfill other duties of Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Compensation & Benefits:

Class CDL-A License required
Minimum 1 year Shipping/Receiving or warehouse experience required
Minimum 1 year forklift experience required
Proven safety record
Experience with inventory systems (e.g., SAP) preferred
Experience using handheld scanners preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties (standing, walking, crouching, reaching, twisting)
