Senior Specialist, Shipping Operations
We are seeking an experienced Shipping Operations Specialist to support the execution and coordination of global shipping activities across crude and refined product movements. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day vessel operations, ensuring contractual compliance, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and optimizing voyage performance and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will play a key role in voyage planning, post-fixture operations, bunker management, shipping documentation, and commercial coordination within a fast-paced trading environment.
Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day vessel operations and voyage execution for assigned cargo movements.

Coordinate vessel nominations, bunker procurement, and operational planning to optimize voyage efficiency.

Ensure compliance with charter party agreements and provide post-fixture operational support.

Liaise with vessel owners, charterers, agents, terminals, and other third parties involved in shipping activities.

Monitor cargo operations, port activities, and marine logistics processes.

Coordinate closely with Trading and Trade Operations teams on scheduling, nominations, and operational issues.

Prepare and review shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, cargo manifests, and voyage instructions.

Track and report voyage costs, bunker usage, demurrage, detention, and freight exposure.

Maintain accurate voyage tracking and provide operational updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ experience within shipping operations, chartering, or marine logistics, preferably within commodity trading, energy, or shipping industries.

Strong understanding of tanker operations, voyage execution, charter party terms, and marine logistics processes.

Experience working within crude oil, refined products, or wider commodity trading environments is highly preferred.
