Shop Foreman - Heavy Equipment

Marshland Equipment Rentals, LLC is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance department in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

We operate a large fleet of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, cranes, marsh buggies, trucks, barges and support equipment. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can keep equipment operating safely and efficiently while managing shop personnel and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of approximately 4 mechanics and 8 shop helpers
• Schedule and prioritize equipment repairs and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoot and assist with repairs on heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors and suppliers
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to company standards
• Maintain maintenance records and equipment service schedules
• Coordinate equipment mobilizations and field service work as needed
• Work closely with management to minimize equipment downtime

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair
• Experience with excavators, dozers, cranes, trucks and construction equipment
• Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• CDL is a plus but not required
