Shop Clean-Up / PorterPosition Summary

The Shop Clean-Up / Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shop and surrounding facilities. This role supports daily operations by performing general housekeeping, waste removal, material handling, and other duties that help ensure efficient workflow and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and clean shop floors, work areas, and common spaces.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste materials properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and office areas.
• Clean and organize tools, equipment, and workstations as directed.
• Assist with moving materials, parts, and supplies throughout the facility.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Ensure walkways, exits, and work areas remain free of debris and hazards.
• Support shop personnel with general labor tasks as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial, porter, warehouse, or shop experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to safely operate basic cleaning equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a shop, warehouse, or industrial environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
