Job Description: Shop Sales Manager

Location: Nattika Beach Ayurveda Resort, Kerala
Department: Front Office / Retail
Reports To: Front Office Manager / General Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time

1. Position Overview

The Shop Sales Manager oversees the complete operations of the Souvenir Shop Boutique at The Nattika Beach Ayurveda Resort and simultaneously plays an active frontline sales role. This position ensures exceptional guest engagement, Ayurveda-aligned product guidance, inventory management, and premium store presentation. As the single point of responsibility for the boutique, the Shop Sales Manager drives sales performance, maintains stock accuracy, and ensures the boutique reflects Nattika’s standards of authenticity, wellness, and hospitality.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Guest Interaction & Direct Sales (Primary Role)

  • Personally assist guests in selecting Ayurveda products, Nattika Life oils, wellness items, books, handicrafts, teas, and souvenirs.
  • Provide accurate guidance based on Ayurveda principles and doctor prescriptions when required.
  • Build rapport with guests to enhance their shopping experience and drive repeat purchases.
  • Ensure seamless billing, packaging, and payment handling with complete accuracy.
  • Handle special orders such as Dinacharya Kits, Ayurveda medicine orders, and gift packs.

B. Boutique Management & Operations

  • Oversee daily functioning of the boutique as the sole manager responsible for:
  • Store opening and closing procedures
  • Display aesthetics & visual merchandising
  • Cleanliness, organization, and ambiance
  • Maintain compliance with Nattika brand standards at all times.
  • Supervise any support staff (if deputed) and ensure they follow service SOPs.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs and ensure the shop is always guest-ready.

C. Inventory Control & Stock Reconciliation

  • Track stock levels, conduct regular audits, and maintain accurate stock registers.
  • Forecast requirements and coordinate with Nattika Life, Ayurveda Centre, and Purchase Department.
  • Manage GRNs, stock in/out entries, expiry checks, and product rotation.
  • Prevent stock variances through disciplined documentation and reporting.

D. Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Update item-wise sales performance and highlight fast-moving and slow-moving products.
  • Provide inputs to management for product sourcing and upgrades.
  • Ensure timely submission of invoices, cash reconciliation, and relevant documentation.

E. Product Knowledge & Ayurveda Alignment

  • Maintain strong understanding of Nattika Life products, herbs, oils, teas, crafts, and health products.
  • Attend training sessions conducted by Ayurveda doctors and Nattika Life team.
  • Educate guests on product benefits, usage, and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure all product displays and labels are accurate and compliant.

F. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with Front Office for guest requests and special billing needs.
  • Coordinate with Ayurveda Centre for doctor-recommended lists.
  • Liaise with Nattika Life production unit and Purchase Team for stock replenishment.
  • Communicate feedback, guest preferences, and product performance to management.

3. Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in wellness, Ayurveda, hospitality, or boutique retail.
  • Proven ability to manage a retail outlet independently.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Malayalam; German knowledge is an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong accounting accuracy and POS skills.
  • Good product knowledge (or willingness to learn) in Ayurveda and wellness items.
  • High integrity and discipline in cash and stock handling.

5. Work Schedule

  • As per resort duty roster, including weekends and holidays on rotation.
  • Must be available during peak guest shopping hours.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
