Shop Service Technician

About the Role

Early Trailer Sales is a locally owned trailer dealership in Early, TX looking for a skilled Shop Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role working on a wide variety of trailers — utility, cargo, dump, livestock, gooseneck, and more. You'll handle everything from new trailer assembly and PDI to repairs, electrical diagnostics, welding, and parts work. Pay starts at $22–$28/hr depending on experience, with real opportunity to grow as the business grows.

What You'll Do

• Assemble new trailers and complete pre-delivery inspection
• Diagnose and repair trailer issues including hubs, brakes, lighting, and running gear
• Perform 12V electrical wiring repairs and troubleshooting
• Perform welding repairs using a wire feed welder (welding ability required — you'll be asked to demonstrate before hire)
• Operate tools, equipment, and forklift safely
• Work with the service writer to complete repair orders accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What We're Looking For

• Experience repairing trailers, vehicles, or similar equipment — particularly 12V electrical systems and welding
• Demonstrated welding ability with a wire feed welder (required)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely
• Attention to detail and a clean, organized work style
• Ability to work independently and communicate well with the team
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required

Schedule & Pay

• Monday–Friday, 8:50 AM–5:00 PM
• Alternating Saturdays 8:50 AM-12:00 PM
• Full-time, 40 hours/week
• $22–$28/hr depending on experience
• Tools provided
