Position Overview
Utility Trux is currently hiring Shop Technicians to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This role focuses on equipment installation, maintenance, and repair of truck upfit components in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair truck equipment and upfit components
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure safe operation
- Read and interpret work orders, schematics, and technical manuals
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical repair or truck equipment installation preferred
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
