Shop Welder / Fabricator & Structural Shop Welder

Adena is seeking skilled and career-driven welding professionals to join our team. We are currently hiring for two shop-based welding positions: Welder/Fabricator and Structural Shop Welder. Candidates may be considered for one or both roles based on experience and skill set. The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components and assemblies using specialized equipment.

  • Weld and fabricate metal components using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) processes
  • Perform GTAW (TIG) welding on aluminum and stainless steel
  • Perform GMAW (MIG) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
  • Use electrical currents, gas welders, and torches to bond metals to specification
  • Layout, fit, and assemble parts prior to welding
  • Inspect welded surfaces to ensure quality and compliance
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Pipe welding experience is a plus.

Structural Shop Welder

  • Weld structural steel components including beams, columns, frames, and assemblies
  • Perform GMAW (MIG) and/or FCAW welding in multiple positions
  • Read and interpret structural blueprints and weld symbols
  • Layout, fit, and weld structural assemblies to specification
  • Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality
  • Operate grinders, cutting equipment, and fabrication tools
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production standards

Desired Skills and Qualifications for both positions:

  • Proven experience in a shop welding environment
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
  • Knowledge of AWS welding standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Dependable, motivated, and career-oriented
