Job Description

Wispa Digital is a UK-based digital agency working with high Growth E-commerce brands. We are looking for an experienced Shopify Custom Application Developer to design, build, and maintain custom Shopify apps that extend store functionality and integrate with third-party services.

This role requires deep knowledge of Shopify APIs, app architecture, and modern development frameworks.

We are looking to build something similar to this layout and functionality. We need to build a functionality similar to the functionality mentioned in the above URLS:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop custom Shopify applications (public and private)
• Build and maintain integrations using Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, and Webhooks
• Customise Shopify functionality beyond theme limitations
• Ensure app performance, scalability, and security best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing Shopify apps
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver tailored solutions
• Maintain documentation and provide technical support when required

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Shopify app development
• Strong expertise in Shopify APIs (REST & GraphQL)
• Proficiency in Node.js, PHP, or Ruby on Rails
• Experience with React for Shopify app UI
• Knowledge of OAuth, webhooks, and embedded apps
• Familiarity with Shopify Plus
• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Strong understanding of e-commerce workflows and performance optimisation

Nice to Have

• Experience with Shopify Functions
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or serverless architecture
• Experience building multi-tenant Shopify apps
• Understanding of data security and GDPR compliance
