We are looking for a skilled and passionate Shopify Developer to join our team on a contract basis to help us deliver high-quality, high-performing websites.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Shopify Developer to take on the development, customization, and maintenance of Shopify and Shopify Plus websites. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Shopify platform, a mastery of front-end technologies, and a keen eye for detail. You will work closely with our design and project management teams to translate creative concepts and business requirements into robust and scalable e-commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Shopify themes from scratch or based on existing templates.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS/Sass, and JavaScript.
• Implement custom features and functionalities by leveraging Shopify APIs and developing custom scripts.
• Install, configure, and customize third-party Shopify apps to meet specific project needs.
• Ensure all developments are mobile-first, fully responsive, and optimized for cross-browser compatibility.
• Optimize website speed and performance for an excellent user experience and improved conversion rates.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve any issues or bugs on live stores in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of their designs and translate them into functional web pages.
• Assist with data migration from other e-commerce platforms to Shopify, when required.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, Shopify updates, and e-commerce best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Shopify Developer with a strong portfolio of live stores you have developed or significantly contributed to.
• Expert proficiency in Shopify's templating language, Liquid.
• Strong front-end development skills: HTML5, CSS3, Sass, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Deep understanding of the Shopify platform, including themes, apps, APIs, and the admin interface.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications:

• Experience with Shopify Plus, including custom checkout scripting and advanced features.
• Experience with headless commerce architecture (e.g., Shopify Hydrogen, Next.js, Gatsby).
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like React.js or Vue.js.
• Experience working with Shopify APIs (Admin API, Storefront API) and GraphQL.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles for e-commerce.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: ₹10,000.00 per month
