Shopify Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Shopify & WordPress Developer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in building custom websites and themes from scratch. The role is 70% focused on Shopify development and 30% on WordPress development, requiring someone who has gone beyond pre-built solutions and has a strong track record of delivering bespoke, performance-optimized, and scalable web builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Development (70%)

• Design and build custom Shopify themes from the scratch.
• Develop advanced Liquid templates, reusable components, and custom storefront features.
• Implement API integrations and develop custom Shopify apps when required.
• Optimize Shopify websites for speed, SEO, and responsive performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and ensure flawless UX across all devices.

WordPress Development (30%)

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins without relying on page builders.
• Extend WordPress functionality through PHP, JavaScript, and custom fields (e.g., ACF).
• Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services with WordPress websites.
• Ensure security, scalability, and smooth performance of WordPress builds.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of proven development experience with strong focus on Shopify (custom builds, not just app setups).
• Deep knowledge of Shopify Liquid, custom theme development, and advanced modifications.
• Strong front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery.
• Experience with WordPress custom development (themes/plugins) using PHP.
• Familiarity with MySQL, database optimization, and CMS performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of version control (Git) and structured workflows.
• Experience with cross-browser testing, responsive design, and debugging.
• Bonus: Exposure to headless commerce, React, Vue.js, or Node.js.
