Shopify & WordPress Developer (Custom Development Focus)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Shopify + WordPress Developer who specializes in customizations, performance optimization, and scalable implementations — not just theme installation.

You will work on ongoing client projects involving custom Shopify Liquid development, WordPress custom themes/plugins, API integrations, and performance improvements.

This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate who values code quality, clear communication, and ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize and extend Shopify themes (Liquid, JSON templates, metafields)
• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins
• Implement custom product pages, checkout flows, and UI enhancements
• Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and Core Web Vitals
• Integrate third-party tools (payments, CRMs, marketing tools, APIs)
• Debug, maintain, and improve existing Shopify & WordPress websites
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to deliver pixel-perfect results

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years hands-on experience with Shopify and WordPress
• At least 10 successfully delivered projects (portfolio required)
• Strong command of:
• Shopify Liquid, Metafields, Sections, Theme Customization
• WordPress (custom themes, custom plugins, hooks, filters)
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP
• Experience with:
• WooCommerce customization
• Performance optimization & SEO best practices
• Git / version control
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

• Experience with Headless Shopify / API-based integrations
• Familiarity with ACF, Elementor, Gutenberg customization
• Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO)
• Experience working with designers using Figma
