Compensation: $125 per day for first 5 days; $170 per day thereafter; if ninety days are reached, retroactive pay to teachers' scale will be paid

Qualifications

A valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in relevant content area, required

One (1) to three (3) years of experience at the Elementary level is preferred
-
Skilled in the use of G-Suite, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook, student information systems, and willingness to explore and work with new technologies

Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills required

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required

Ability to work under pressure, be flexible, and work as part of a team

REPORTS TO: Building Principal or designee
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: A teacher must demonstrate knowledge of a variety of instructional strategies and formative and summative assessments to facilitate student success and growth in academic and social/emotional skills. The teacher creates a flexible and safe learning environment and provides effective feedback on student progress.

Plans and prepares daily lessons based on formative assessment data that includes a variety of instructional methods for the purpose of addressing individual student learning styles

Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs

Conducts individual, small group, and large group instruction as appropriate

Provides assessment feedback to the students, parents and administration in a timely manner

Make all necessary referrals to the guidance counselors, the Student Assistance Program (SAP) and/or special education

Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, and parents and others for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student learning

Reviews and implements all Specially Designed Instruction (SDI's) and student with 504 Plan accommodations or modification

Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws

Responds appropriately to emergency situations according to the Safety plan

Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment that maximizes instructional time.

Monitors students in a variety of educational environments for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.

Coordinates with other elementary professional staff members, especially within grade level, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty
