Shovel operator

We are seeking for a Shovel Operator who is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a hydraulic or mechanical shovel to load, lift, and transport materials at construction sites, mining locations, or material handling operations. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, safety protocols, and material handling procedures.

Qualifications:

• Safely operate a mechanical shovel or hydraulic shovel to move rock, gravel, sand, and other materials.
• Load and unload materials into trucks, bins, or storage piles according to project specifications.
• Prepare and maintain the work area by clearing debris and ensuring the shovel is positioned for optimal operation.
• Inspect equipment daily, perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., lubricating parts, checking fluids), and report any mechanical issues to supervisors.
• Follow all safety guidelines and industry regulations to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Work closely with site supervisors, foremen, and other machine operators to coordinate tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with a variety of heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, backhoes).
• Previous experience in construction or similar industries.
