Department: Operations / Production
Reports To: Plant Supervisor / Production Manager

Job Summary

The Shovel Operator is responsible for operating a wheel loader (shovel) safely and efficiently to load, transport, and stockpile raw materials such as aggregates, sand, and other materials required for concrete production. The operator must ensure continuous material supply to the batching plant while maintaining equipment safety and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the wheel loader/shovel safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Load aggregates, sand, and other raw materials into batching plant hoppers and stockpiles.
• Transport materials within the plant premises as required.
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to production operations.
• Conduct daily pre-start and post-operation inspections of the equipment.
• Report any equipment defects, malfunctions, or maintenance requirements immediately.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and operational activities.
• Keep work areas clean and free from hazards.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist with general yard and plant activities as assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure fuel, lubrication, and routine maintenance checks are carried out as required.
• Work collaboratively with plant operators, drivers, and other team members to achieve production targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Heavy Equipment Operator License (where applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a wheel loader/shovel, preferably in a ready-mix concrete, construction, quarry, or manufacturing environment.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,100.00 per hour
