Showroom sales & design

A well-established, West Midtown furniture company is growing again and seeking a seasoned, highly motivated, creative, dependable, and detail-oriented professional for the role of Showroom Sales and Design. The primary responsibility of this position is to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing exceptional customer service and thorough product education to our clientele, which includes retail customers and interior designers. A secondary responsibility is to assist with merchandising and maintaining the showroom’s appearance in alignment with our brand standards. The ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to communicate extensive product knowledge professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage clients regarding their project(s) and assist with decision-making process
  • Merchandising the showroom
  • Updating showroom signage such as price tags and table tents (infrequent)
  • Perform other general office work (infrequent)
  • Field incoming phone calls and provide sales support/customer service
  • Provide after-sale customer service

Requirements:

  • Previous luxury retail furniture store or related field experience (2+ years)
  • Incoming phone sales experience
  • Excellent Computer Skills - Efficient Typing, Word, Excel; QuickBooks proficiency is ideal!
  • Experience in visual merchandising
  • Interior design and fashion sense
  • Enjoy helping others

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • College degree - preferably in Interior Design or Fine Arts

  • Pay for this position is salary plus commissions, bonuses, and spiffs. We offer health insurance, paid vacation time, and a 401k plan.
