Job brief:

We are looking for an experienced Shutdown / Turnaround Manager to lead large and complex shutdown projects in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sector. This role is for a strong leader who can plan, manage, and deliver safe and timely shutdowns with large manpower teams. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth execution, strong coordination, and zero compromise on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Plan, lead, and execute shutdown and turnaround projects for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical facilities

Manage large-scale shutdown teams with more than 500 manpower, onshore and offshore

Develop shutdown schedules, work scopes, and resource plans

Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards, quality, and safety procedures

Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and contractor teams

Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve site issues quickly

Control shutdown costs, timelines, and productivity

Lead daily meetings, toolbox talks, and progress reviews

Ensure timely completion of shutdown activities with minimal downtime

Prepare reports and provide clear updates to senior management

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering(mandatory)

Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects(Mandatory)

810 years of proven experience in shutdown or turnaround leadership roles(Mandatory)

Strong experience managing large shutdown teams (500+ manpower)(mandatory)

Experience in both onshore and offshore shutdown projects(mandatory)

Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills

Good understanding of safety standards and site execution practices

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
