Sign Technician/Hydraulics Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Sign Technician/Hydraulics Mechanic to join our industrial maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining signage systems and hydraulic equipment across our manufacturing facility. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of complex machinery, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components. Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair signage systems using schematics, technical drawings, and industrial maintenance best practices.
  • Maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, and related components, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic and electrical equipment utilizing precision measuring instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
  • Diagnose issues with hydraulics and electrical systems by analyzing schematics and performing analysis with appropriate tools.
  • Perform welding tasks—including <LOCATION> welding—on structural components to support signage installation or repair projects.
  • Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to monitor and troubleshoot automated machinery within the manufacturing facility.
  • Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely for elevated work tasks; ensure compliance with safety protocols including high voltage and low voltage procedures.
  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document maintenance activities, track parts inventory, and schedule preventive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide customer service support for onsite equipment issues or installations.
  • Follow safety standards related to HVAC/R systems when working on climate control or ventilation units associated with signage or hydraulic areas.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to perform precise repairs or installations efficiently.
  • Support manufacturing operations by performing industrial electrician tasks involving high voltage systems and electrical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial mechanic work within a manufacturing facility environment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems (including low voltage), and mechanical components used in industrial settings.
  • Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for maintenance management.
  • Skilled in welding techniques—specifically <LOCATION> welding—and using precision measuring instruments like ammeters, ohmmeters, etc.
  • Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and industrial maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams accurately.
  • Excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting complex hydraulic or electrical issues efficiently.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills in English; experience working in field service environments preferred.

Pay: $19.10 - $22.00 per hour
