Simulation scientific assistant in Physics

India

We are seeking a motivated Simulation Scientific Assistant in Physics to support research, modeling, and analysis activities. The role involves assisting in the design, implementation, and validation of numerical simulations and computational models to study physical systems, as well as providing support in data processing, visualization, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, running, and optimizing physics-based simulations using specialized software (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS, MATLAB, Python, or equivalent).
  • Support researchers in modeling complex physical phenomena (e.g., fluid dynamics, electromagnetism, particle physics, condensed matter).
  • Collect, process, and analyze simulation data; prepare results for scientific reports and presentations.
  • Compare simulation outcomes with experimental or theoretical results to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain documentation of simulation methods, parameters, and outcomes for reproducibility.
  • Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and research staff to support ongoing projects.
  • Provide technical support for computational tools and assist in troubleshooting simulation workflows.
  • Stay updated with recent advancements in computational physics and relevant simulation techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Computational Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with numerical modeling, computational physics, or scientific programming.
  • Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS, Geant4, MATLAB, or similar).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented research environment.
  • Good communication skills for reporting results and supporting research teams.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
  • Background in experimental physics with interest in bridging simulations and experiments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
