Singing Instructor / Voice Teacher

EMC ARTS is a nonprofit arts organization located in Dumont, New Jersey. Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable arts education for students of all ages. We offer a wide range of classes in music, theater, and visual arts, and we are proud to serve over five hundred local families each year. Our studio environment is warm, welcoming, and deeply committed to helping students grow as artists and as individuals.

Position Overview:
EMC ARTS is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Singing Instructor to join our instructional team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and teens, strong vocal training, and the ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment. This position is perfect for someone who loves teaching, believes in accessible arts education, and would like to be part of a growing nonprofit community.

Responsibilities:

• Teach private voice lessons and group vocal classes for students ages six through adult
• Prepare students for performances, recitals, showcases, and musical theater opportunities
• Provide individualized vocal coaching tailored to each student’s level and goals
• Communicate with parents and staff in a timely and professional manner
• Uphold EMC ARTS policies, values, and commitment to affordability and inclusivity
• Collaborate with the artistic team for special events and community programs

Qualifications:

• Strong background in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy
• Experience teaching children and teens
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and students
• Reliable, organized, and professional
• Musical theater experience is preferred but not required

Schedule and Compensation:

• Part-time position
• Flexible scheduling based on teacher and student availability
• Compensation will be discussed during the interview process and is based on experience

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
