Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of materials and products throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting.

Duties

• Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
• Perform order picking using RF scanners and ensure accurate fulfillment of shipping and receiving tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Assist in materials handling, including heavy lifting and transporting goods within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized inventory system using a warehouse management system.
• Support construction projects by moving materials as needed and adhering to safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established protocols for equipment usage and storage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles, with a strong understanding of order picking processes.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts, is essential.
• Previous experience in shipping & receiving operations is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
