The Site Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity and compliance at a specific site or location within a company. They are responsible for managing financial transactions, recording expenses, reconciling accounts and providing financial reports to management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in accounting principles and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Recordkeeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the site.
  • Record all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Expense Management:
  • Monitor and control expenses within the site's budgetary constraints.
  • Review invoices, expense reports and purchase orders for accuracy and validity.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding payment processing and account reconciliation.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting:
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Compliance and Audit:
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and support.
  • Implement controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud or misappropriation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the site.
  • Monitor budget performance and variance analysis to identify areas of concern or improvement.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, procurement, and finance, to gather financial information and support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders, providing explanations and insights as needed.
  • Serve as a resource for site staff regarding financial policies, procedures and best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
