Core Responsibilities

Act as the primary technical point of contact for Dubai Municipality (DM) inspections. Manage the process for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs), building permits, and final completion certificates.

Oversee all on-site civil activities, including excavation, deep foundation (piling), structural framing, and concrete casting. For G+4 licenses, this includes specialized checks for multi-story structural elements like retaining walls.

Interpret and verify architectural and structural Shop Drawings, ensuring they align with Dubai Building Codes and the approved G-license limits.

Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Conduct regular site inspections to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications. Inspect rebar, formwork, and MEP integration before requesting DM approvals.

Project Documentation: Maintain daily site diaries, material submittals, and progress reports. Prepare and review Requests for Information (RFIs) and Variation Orders.

Safety Enforcement: Implement UAE safety regulations (e.g., Dubai Civil Defence and OSHAD) and ensure the use of safety equipment on-site.
Required Qualifications

DM License (Mandatory): A valid Dubai Municipality Engineer Card (G+1 for low-rise or G+4 for mid-rise projects) is essential.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.

Experience:
G+1: Typically requires 3–5 years of UAE experience.
G+4: Often requires 5–7+ years of experience, including specific experience with multi-story buildings in Dubai.

Memberships: Active membership in the UAE Society of Engineers (SOE).

Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (drafting), MS Project or Primavera (scheduling), and basic knowledge of structural analysis software like STAAD.Pro for G+4 roles.
