JOB DESCRIPTION – SITE ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR (MEP PROJECTS)

Reporting To: Project Manager / Engineering Office

Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Site Electrical Supervisor to oversee our electrical installations and site operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical design and field execution, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, on time, and according to engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

■ Technical Oversight: Accurately interpret and implement AutoCAD Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Riser Diagrams, and Electrical Layouts.

■ Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day electrical activities at various project sites across Karachi, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety codes.

■ Team Leadership & Training: Supervise, mentor, and provide hands-on training to General Electricians and on-site labour to improve workmanship and efficiency.

■ Project Coordination: Act as a liaison between the engineering office and the field staff to ensure material availability and project milestones are met.

■ Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of wiring, switchgear installations, and grounding systems to maintain the high standards of ACES.

■ Reporting: Maintain accurate daily site logs and progress reports for the management team.

Core Requirements

■ Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in electrical contracting or MEP projects.

■ Technical Literacy: Proficient in reading and explaining complex electrical drawings – AutoCAD SLDs, Schematics, Risers, Elementary Diagrams, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

■ Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a team with a 'team player' mindset – balancing firm supervision with collaborative problem-solving.

■ Safety Mindset: Deep understanding of electrical safety protocols with the ability to enforce them strictly on-site.

■ Communication: Strong verbal communication skills in Urdu (for field staff) and basic English/Urdu proficiency for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

■ Education: B.Tech (Electrical) or DAE (Electrical).

■ Software Proficiency: MS Excel (Advanced), AutoCAD.

■ Experience: 3–5 years of relevant work exposure as an MEP Site Supervisor.

■ Capability: Strong ability to handle MEP projects alongside Civil works coordination.

■ Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a passion for MEP and Civil engineering.

■ Fast learner with excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
