ob Title: Site Engineer – Thermal Power Systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee on‐site execution of thermal power system components (e.g., balance of plant, steam/water systems) in coordination with EPC/contractor teams.
- Ensure installation, erection, commissioning activities are carried out as per drawings, specifications, project schedule and quality standards.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction teams, and subcontractors to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain safety & compliance.
- Monitor daily site activities including manpower, materials, equipment usage; prepare daily/weekly site reports, highlighting deviations/risks.
- Ensure all site work adheres to safety, statutory, environmental and company policy requirements.
- Assist with testing, start‐up, fault‐finding and hand‐over of thermal systems to commissioning teams.
- Track and manage documentation: site drawings, inspection reports, test certificates, change orders, RFIs and as‐built records.
- Coordinate with vendor/OEM for equipment erection, warranty activation, and ensure performance meets design intent.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Power / Instrumentation Engineering.
- Prior experience (typically 2-5 years or more) on large thermal power projects (preferably 200MW+ or equivalent) or utility/boiler/steam-cycle systems.
- Strong communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with quality / safety systems on site (e.g., permits, HSE briefings, inspections).
- Willingness to travel and stay on‐site for extended periods as required.
