Position Title: Site Engineer – Building Management System (BMS)

Department: Projects & Execution

Location: Project Sites (PAN India – as per project requirement)

Role Overview

The Site Engineer – BMS will be responsible for on-site execution, coordination, testing, commissioning, and handover of Building Management Systems covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and integrated ELV interfaces. The role requires hands-on site supervision, strong coordination with multiple agencies, and adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution & Supervision

• Execute BMS installations as per approved shop drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
• Supervise installation of field devices such as sensors, actuators, VFD interfaces, controllers, panels, and networking components.
• Ensure correct cabling, termination, labeling, earthing, and panel wiring practices.
• Coordinate daily activities of technicians and subcontractors at site.

Coordination & Interface

• Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire, and ELV contractors to ensure proper system interfacing.
• Interface with clients, consultants, PMC, and OEMs for technical clarifications and approvals.
• Align BMS works with site progress to avoid clashes and rework.

Testing, Commissioning & Integration

• Support point-to-point checks, loop checks, and functional testing of BMS points.
• Assist in controller programming verification, graphics validation, and alarm testing.
• Support integration with third-party systems such as Chillers, AHUs, VFDs, Energy Meters, FAS, and DG sets.
• Assist during OEM-led commissioning, client demonstrations, and performance testing.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure installations comply with project specifications, control schematics, and relevant standards.
• Maintain quality of workmanship and ensure timely snag identification and closure.
• Enforce site safety practices and compliance with EHS norms.
• Ensure proper documentation and implementation of control philosophies.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports (DPRs).
• Track material receipt, consumption, and site inventories.
• Assist in preparation of as-built drawings, point lists, control narratives, and O&M manuals.
• Maintain testing, commissioning, and handover records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of site experience in execution of BMS / Building Automation projects.
• Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, hotels, or industrial facilities preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of BMS architecture, controllers, field devices, and networks
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, control schematics, and BOQs
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment operation
• Hands-on approach to site execution and commissioning support
• Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic AutoCAD

Pay: ₹450,000.00 - ₹650,000.00 per year
