Site Engineer

• Planning, monitoring, supervising, and reporting on-site execution activities.
• Inspecting the material and installation activities of contractor/subcontractors.
• Familiar with the current market Rate of Construction Material, equipment.
• Site inspection/audit of engineering works (e.g. reinforcement concrete, earthworks, drainage. Services, infrastructure, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Review and assessment of contractor variation and change submissions,
• Preparation/provision of support documentation for project reporting process rate Analysis, Renovation & Maintenance Project, etc.
• Provide technical advice to contracting service providers regarding installation and maintenance of MEP System & Civil works.
• Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
• Advise the Senior Management of any technical aspects that may affect construction progress, e.g., quality.
• Continually review the contractor’s construction schedule during the progress of the site work regarding MEP services & Civil works and report to the Senior Management on the same.
• Where required, prepare technical clarifications to the tendered design to suit specific on-site construction and coordination issues.
• Monitor and promote health and safety on the site. Record and report any breaches If required, stop the construction works if unsafe practices are being followed.
• Review and comment on the Contractor’s testing and commissioning results and advise the management accordingly.
• Maintain an ongoing list of defects for the contractor’s remedial action.
• Undertake final project snagging and prepare a list of defects for the Contractor’s action.

Requirements

• BSc Civil Engineering with minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience, or DAE Civil with minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Proven working experience in Civil Engineering, construction, renovation, and design.
• Possession of Civil Engineering/construction-related project trainings (e.g., Project Management, Risk Management, Project Supervision/Handling, or AutoCAD).
• Ability to lead projects independently.
• Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
• Sound knowledge of PPRA Rules.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in public sector organizations
• Must be resident of Rawalpindi/Islamabad.
