Site Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer – High-Rise Building Project

Job Summary

The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and executing day-to-day construction activities on a high-rise building project. The role ensures that works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedule, and UAE regulations while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise daily construction activities on site.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved shop drawings and method statements.
• Monitor structural works including core walls, columns, slabs (including PT slabs), and vertical elements.
• Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure proper alignment, levels, and quality of works.

2. Drawing & Technical Coordination

• Study construction drawings and identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer for technical clarifications.
• Raise RFIs (Requests for Information) when required.
• Ensure latest approved drawings are available on site.

3. Quality Control

• Conduct site inspections prior to consultant inspections.
• Ensure works comply with project specifications and ITPs.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals.
• Rectify defects and close consultant comments promptly.

4. Authority & Inspection Coordination

• Assist in arranging inspections and approvals with relevant authorities such as:
• Dubai Municipality
• Dubai Civil Defence
• DEWA
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Building Code and local regulations.

5. Progress Monitoring

• Track daily progress and report to Project Engineer.
• Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
• Identify potential delays and escalate issues to management.
• Support implementation of recovery plans if required.

6. Health & Safety

• Enforce HSE policies on site.
• Ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Coordinate with Safety Officer for toolbox talks and inspections.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3–6 years of construction experience.
• At least 2–3 years experience in high-rise building projects preferred.
• UAE experience is an advantage.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete structural works and finishing coordination.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and inspection processes.
• Understanding of high-rise construction sequencing.
