Position Summary
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising installation, execution, and completion of woodwork projects at client sites. This role ensures that drawings, materials, workforce, and timelines are coordinated effectively to deliver high-quality finishing, furniture, and joinery installations. The engineer acts as the key link between design, production, and the project site.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Oversee day-to-day woodwork installation activities at site (modular furniture, carpentry, joinery, partitions, panels, doors, wardrobes, kitchens, etc.).
- Ensure installation follows approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with carpenters, supervisors, and subcontractors for smooth site execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship quality and progress.
2. Coordination
- Coordinate with the design team, production team, and project managers on material readiness, technical queries, and installation plans.
- Follow up with procurement for timely delivery of materials and hardware.
- Communicate with clients/contractors regarding site readiness, work schedules, and technical clarifications.
3. Planning & Scheduling
- Prepare daily/weekly site execution plans.
- Track project progress against the timeline and report delays or obstacles.
- Manage workforce productivity and allocate tasks effectively.
4. Quality Control
- Ensure all wooden components, finishes, laminations, polishing, and fittings meet quality standards.
- Verify site measurements before installation and highlight any mismatches with drawings.
- Identify quality issues and ensure corrective actions.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure safety practices are followed by all site workers.
- Maintain housekeeping and material stacking standards at site.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site reports, attendance, progress photos, and material consumption logs.
- Report installation status to project manager and escalate issues where required.
- Document site variations and additional works for billing purposes.
7. Problem Solving
- Resolve site-related technical and execution problems.
- Handle last-minute design changes or client requirements professionally.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of woodwork installation, joinery methods, and modular systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, sketches, and production documents.
- Good understanding of materials: plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, hinges, channels, fittings.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills.
- Leadership and workforce management ability.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, email; AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage).
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Tech in Civil / Mechanical / Interior / Furniture Technology or relevant field.
- 2–10 years of experience in wood / furniture / interior fit-out site execution.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
